It isn't parkour, but it is similar in that it offers an alternative way of moving. I hope this video can clear some stuff up.

Only crit about fsw is the walking bit, sometimes it looks like you guys are dancing (which I don't mind so much) but other times it just looks plain retarded. The rest of it was pretty cool, your plants and slides are pretty nifty. Do you guys critisize tricking in walking like we do in parkour? Or did you integrate it into walking (like UF has untidely done) "Abide by the rules of physics and man will never evolve."

THAT was smoth.... some of the freezes in that video were rather good too, not to mention the flips... those are always nice no matter what. But a few things i gotta point out: 1) learn to roll would ya dont' wanna see anyone get hurt coz of a bad roll and 2) VAULTS are PARKOUR!!! 3) Flips are tricking, so is the palm spin i saw in there. 4) As for the guy in the end acting like a monkey... that's being parkourish as well... (remember treceur = monkey!) You should realy get into parkour. It's like freestyle walking, except you get to walk about 3 times as fase.

Parkour was founded and developed, not created. There are no select motions that are parkour. People move efficiently with desperate jumps and vaults all the time when they are faced in a situation that needs it. Parkour just classified ways of making this kind of movement controlled and effective. The side vault was used by the military and law enforcement before parkour came around. Zanshin Studios

I would say that freestyle walking is all about the tricking. I originally did freestyle walking, then I found out about parkour a few years ago, and did that instead. It just doesn't suit my style as well though because I need more room for improvised movements, (as seen), so I turned back to freestyle walking. I have incorporated all my parkour movements into it though, and it has benefitted much from that. I don't think any of those rolls were mine, but I am still working on that. I try to stay away from any jumps that are too big anyways, not my style. Thanks for your comments.

I'm not even going to get into whether I respect the art itself or not (which i do; personal expression comes in all forms) but most of the moves in that vid were downright sloppy. If you're going to showcase yourself, show the best of the best. I don't wanna see messy jumps quickly cut off to hide the bail that follows. (what I do wanna see more of however was that tic tac at 1:05, that was hawt). Basically what I'm saying is you need a more polished product, that's all.

What the fck is this? This takes elements of Breakdancing (poorly executed), elements of skateboarding and aggressive skating (poorly executed), elements of free running (poorly executed) and elements of Parkour (so poorly executed that I could write a fcking thesis about it) and putts it all together into... I don't even know what the fck to call it. Personally I would call it a pile of sht. But to be fair I think that Free Running is also kind of stupid... but you know what? The people that do Free Running have become so completely talented that I simply cannot disrespect them. They earned my respect. But this? This "Freestyle Walking"... I don't even know what to say. You have absolutely no talent and are simply fcking around like a bunch of stupid 14 year old kids. Do you have any idea how hard Traceurs and Free Runners train to do things safely and properly? Every one of your fcking stunts ends in a bail. And do you have any idea how highly breakdancers value fluidity and style? Alot. All your stupid "stalls" and "walks" look like you just thought of some stupid sht to do because you were bored and then filmed it. And do you have any idea how highly aggressive skaters and... fck this, this isn't even worth my time. You guys have no talent at all. You are taking elements of things that you consider "cool" and putting it together into something that is garbage. You are literally pissing all over numerous arts and sports.
