I decided to arrange a Jam Every week now. Every Saturday, at stadium, from noon till the late afternoon/night/whatever.
Will wait till about 12.30 for people that could be late.
Every person that wants to come is welcome.
There shouldn't be a Jam if the weather is too severe - high speed winds, temperature under -10*C, heavy heavy rain. If there is rain (like the normal type of rain here) there will be a jam.
Me and Rene worked a lot on our landings in the last few months right until his injury. Trough exercises we started landing quieter and more controlled, our balance improved, our jumping power improved. Basicly every aspect of ourselves was greatly improved trough these exercises.
So I'll show these exercises to new people and people who would like to refine their technique(e.g. landing).
If you wonder why am I devoting every saturday to jams, here are some of the reasons:
1) Most important one - Frequent Jams lead to better skill, more fun and most importantly closer community.
2) While Vancouver has a jam like every two weeks or something, other countries (Bulgaria, Russia to name a few) hold jams at least every week or sometimes twice a week. And they are getting better, oh yeah.
3) Organized jam system like this (Jam every week) should make it pointless to post about "saturday jams" (cause jams in vancouver happen on saturday mostly) and the Vancouver scene will get more organized. Everyone will be safeto assume that there will be a jam and won't worry about it on his/her way to downtown hehe.
4) I/we could teach many new people and help them to get into the sport/art properly. This means less injuries.
