hey guys, dis is are 1st vid, were the URBAN KRONIX an were from guildon sutton (we used 2 be called gspk)
we bin doin the parkor bout 2-3 months now, i think we doin prety gud, we allready mastered the basics tell us what u tink.

I got bored and just started reading what everyone else said, its true you can never master the basics. Now im just sat here listerning to the song
 I havent
heard it in time.
Okay after watching it. Train more, get confident on the basics, try using them on different obsticles(Rail's/walls ect.) Once you've got that down, start with linking them up to get them fluent using different comb. That's basicly what I did. Good luck, Safe. Cat |

Yeah so I saw this thread and didn't even bother opening it since "our" was spelled wrong and dude can't seem to speak properly period; i.e.
his intro thread on the revolution. However, since it's come up a few times, I'll give it a shot.
Now I've started to watch the video, and the fact dude does a grab in the first 20 seconds has pretty much turned me off of these guys. Let me watch the rest... Okay I'm about a minute in and I realize that you guys are having fun and shit, but some of the movements you're making up and doing are completely worthless. Especially trying to vault something that doesn't even come up to your knees. It's almost frustrating to watch this video as it's so choppy. Listen to what everyone else has been saying about the basics - study them more and work hard on those before you start doing your own thing. Oh, and think about what parkour is actually about: being efficient. If you want to make up your own moves and shit, then focus on freerunning. If you're really serious though, you're going to have to work. Good luck and train hard.

But what if they are incapable of pulling off vaults such as a Kong or Dash, and so the most efficent ways of getting over obstacles for them is to perform
their "own moves and shit". Are they doing Parkour then?

Absolutely.
But, "we allready mastered the basics." And, "we av mastered the basics (well, i av at least)." So using one, or all, of their inefficient, made-up vaults would be pointless considering how well they've "mastered" the basic vaults, such as kongs or dashes.

But perhaps to there limited abilities, kongs and dashes aren't considered basic. Perhaps they are a bit more complex?

That's fine. Do whatever is most efficient then. But tell me when trying to vault something that comes up to your ankles is more efficient than jumping over it, when it's only maybe a foot across? When is "rocket" vaulting something going to be faster and more efficient than a speed, lazy, or monkey vault? Why would you try to monkey vault down something you're standing on that's only two feet high? Go back and watch at :33. When is that ever going to be efficient? And I'm sure if they can "rocket vault" and make up moves of that sort, they can kong ffs.

I'd say "rocket vaults" are easier to do than Kongs
Hey, maybe they want to use their hands to steady themselves
I've seen plenty of people try to hop over a low wall to cut a corner but end up catching their feet and face planting , this way, they don't!

This video sucks. I completely understand that people are at this level when thet start and i'm not mocking that. I just don't understand why people
feel the need to advertise thier n00bness by making a vid when they've still got a very low level. STOP wasting your time even if vid only took two hours
to film an edited then it's two hours wasted that could have been better served training or wanking.

Making a video after only a few months is pointless, especially if you're using a camera man, I'd say wait at least a year, and get a decent camera.
You can never master the basics, as it could always be more efficient. Being able to do them (I saw no evidence, but I will give you it, as the camera was bad
enough for me to have missed them if they were there) doesn't mean you have mastered them. Also, what the fuck was with climbing through that rail near the
start?
This is about to get real sweet real fast!

But really guys don't take it personally, we all (okay maybe just me, this dude, and pain boys lol) have noob vids on the internets somewhere but ffs don't use a damn phone. And don't ever EVER claim to have mastered anything. Everyone is far from it, even those that have been training for many years. Making a video in the first few months isn't pointless if you're looking for tips/critiques. What is, however, is being suckish and claiming to be a king. Did we scare them off?
